Swine influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza viruses that regularly cause outbreaks of influenza in pigs. Swine flu viruses do not normally infect humans, but sporadic human infections with swine flu have occurred.
AmpliSens® Influenza virus A/H1-swine-FRT PCR kits allow identification of Influenza virus A/H1-swine RNA in clinical material. Detection is based on RNA extraction, cDNA preparing and cDNA amplification. The presence of the Internal Control determines RNA extraction and reverse transcription efficiency, as well as cDNA amplification process.
